Hello, I'm
Robin Connor Schramm

I design, build, and evaluate interactive systems for real-world use, with a focus on HCI, XR, and empirical research doing simulation and field studies. I am interested in research roles across academia and industry that combine rigorous experimentation with impactful interactive technology.
About Me
I am a PhD student at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, supervised by Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schwanecke. I conduct my PhD research in close collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation. My current research focuses on in-car Augmented Reality for passengers, exploring how head-mounted displays can enrich the travel experience through visualizing interactive points of interest.
I am currently a Visiting Researcher at University College London (UCL) at the UCL Interaction Centre, working with Dr. Mark Colley.
My research focuses on Augmented Reality in Human-Computer Interaction, exploring how interactive AR systems can be designed and evaluated in real-world contexts. I advance HCI through artifact-driven research, building novel interaction techniques and studying them in ecologically valid field settings. At the same time, I investigate how simulation can serve as a methodological bridge for prototyping and evaluating systems before deploying them in real-world studies.
